There is nothing inside it to relate it with RED GARDEN as the name suggest. Lal is the hindi name of color “Red” and Bagh means “Garden”.
Lal Bagh is the first restaurant of its type situated very near to the city area, it started just before 9-10 month and having no such competition in its category, it has vintage look outside as well as inside which gives it uniqueness. Enough space of approx 100-125 chairs at a time makes is easy for the parties. When you enter this restaurant first thing you’ll notice is it’s door (main gate) it’s a traditional kind of gate coloring red (this might be the reason for calling the restaurant Lal Bagh. ).
The second attracting thing is the vintage car, you’ll see after entering . There are 3-4 types of sitting arrangement for different purposes like corporate meetings, family parties etc. the one thing which makes it unique is the Saturday and the Sunday nights, the main attraction on these days is the live performances they organizes.
Now lets talk about the food, it has a very lengthy menu card which includes Chinese, continental, Punjabi etc. there are some items which may confuse you with the names they used like Dal Pachranga (I dint find 5-Rang in the Dal except its original yellow color), the food was ok kind of, not very different from other, even a near one small restaurants are offering better quality cuisine Meera, Bawarchi, Daya, Nataraj are some name in this category and all at very cheap rates. We spent around 300/- per head which seems to be satisfactory under those facilities.
Sitting arrangement was very fancy and decorative but there was a mismatch between table and the surrounding chairs, where we had our lunch had 4 chairs around a table but table was too short that I thought they would give us another table for putting stuffs on it.
Time taken by the waiter for service was so short that I could have a sleep in between . but they were well dressed up and behaved very well with us. Atmosphere is soothing and calm which gives you the comfort feeling.
Overall experience was ok, would go again till better one comes in the city.
